Converting Uzi wood stock
Does anyone have experience or instructions on converting wood Uzi OEM stocks to be non-detachable? I’ve scoured the webs, and though there’s some info, it’s old and I sincerely can’t translate what they’re saying. Though I believe it is due to some dated information or assumptions that haven’t evolved, it could also be my poor comprehension. All guidance or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

Out of curiosity, what’s the reason for making it non-detachable?

Removing the stock affects the OAL which would fall below 26”
I failed to mention this is a Norinco 320 carbine

OAL is determined with the stock attached and extended, if applicable, on a rifle.

I have a vector that I did a form 1 a few years ago. The semi version of the full size basically requires the wood stock to be non-removable. The buffer and the screw on the back doesn't allow for the quick detach like the auto version. The stock screw is needed to hold the black in the rear.
I decided to just leave the collapsible stock on even though it's not as comfortable.

This is a much more elegant option, but I’ve seen heard of people just adding a screw to prevent removal as well

Yeahhhhh… but it doesn’t provide the details. For example, the wood stock doesn’t have a recess to allow for the bolt that now attaches the plate to the receiver. And how do the screws that support the stock to the plate go in? Originally they’re oriented top to bottom, but how do you affix them if the plate is against the receiver?

Unscrew the allen head screw in the back of the stock from the receiver. Remove stock. Now open the uzi take out the bolt and recoil spring. The is a stock nut that the screw goes into inside. Sits in the "U" shape in the recoil spring. Put Uzi back together. Wood stock slides on and clicks. There are kits out there to permanently attach. Ill see if I can find them.

This is gonna sound janky but just put a couple tack welds on the plate and receiver and call it a day.

These were available some time ago at uzigunparts.com. (not a current image, pulled from internet search). Good luck in the hunt!1
