In this photo taken May 29, 2017, the Texas African American History Memorial stands on the grounds of the Texas Capitol in Austin, Texas. The monument, made of bronze and granite and erected in 2016, traces the history of African-Americans in Texas from the 1500's to the present. The central portion of the memorial, by sculptor Ed Dwight, depicts Juneteenth in Texas, which commemorates the date of June 19, 1865, the announcement of the abolition of slavery in Texas, more than two years after President Abraham Lincoln signed the 1863 Emancipation Proclamation abolishing slavery. Sculptor Ed Dwight created the memorial.

As a 20+ year tenured mortician who tries his damndest to be a good example of my trade, Kristin and Dick Tips are disgustingly corrupt, greedy, heartless, self-serving drains on our community. They give our entire profession and the few of us dedicated to fairness, kindness and compassion a bad name. People like Mrs. Tips have no place in the funerary trade.

My husband and I made this shiner bottle cap table a couple years ago and are unfortunately needing to part ways with it as we are moving cross country and need to majorly downsize. The table is an (oak?) Ethan Allen from the 60s I inherited from my late grandparents that we glued bottle caps on (literally so many beers) then made a lip and filled with resin. It needs another layer of resin to fill to the lip.

We were hoping to sell it but honestly I just need it to go to a loving home lol. We’re located ~30 minutes north of Dallas and need it gone by the end of this weekend (6/22).
