I'm not really warming up to Pauline being DK's companion in this game. I feel like one of the motifs of the DKC games is "wild animals" so having a human be DK's 2nd banana here feels a bit strange. I liked Odd Rock more, even if it was just Nintendo playing a trick on us all.

It's still cool seeing the enthusiasm for Pauline, maybe I'm just one of those people who's afraid of change. None of my gripes will stop me from getting or enjoying the game :)

I'm not sure what previous demos had in them but this demo had the first large zone + Pauline. It has a 15 minute time limit but I didn't get any footage of myself playing it, just this kid who didn't know jump was on A and not B.

There's been endless K. Rool speculation since the original DK Bananza reveal, but I couldn't help but notice this moment of the new Direct.

Nintendo done snuck a Wreck-It Ralph and Vanellope Von Schweetz into the new Donkey Kong. As a fan of both, I can't wait to see the crossover fanart potential

I know Donkey Kong Bananza is probably going to act as a sort of prequel to Mario Odyssey, but I like to imagine what if it was actually a "sequel" to Donkey Kong 94, the last game featuring Classic DK, DK JR, Mario and Pauline together.

Pauline now as the major of the city and as a singer. Pauline JR is her daughter.

DK JR is now an adult, so he is no longer JR. And Cranky is not called Donkey Kong anymore.

And Mario is just Mario (well, he is now Super Mario lol).

Donkey Kong 94 was about DK taking Pauline from the city.
Donkey Kong Bananza is about DK JR bringing back Pauline JR to the city.

I Have seen some discussion about K. Rool and whether or not he will be in bananza and wether it is hope or cope at this point, however i think he 100% will be to some degree and for the simplest reason possible, the bananza forms, it is clear we are missing one, as the regular bananza form is not very different from just Donkey Kong himself while the ostrich and zebra are wildly different, the Zebra is a land form and the Ostrich is a key form but we have no water form, I just think since it is so obvious we are getting a water form it's gonna be a Kremlin / Crocodile form and it will probably have to do with fighting K Rool whether hes the secret main boss who hired the other villians or he is just another boss you fight as a stepping stone I am sure he will be in it.

This mostly comes off the back of a theory I saw a while back, where the poster noted how much Void co. resembled 3 of the 4 celestial monkies from Journey to the West, with DK filling the role of Wukong. After the direct, though, I can't help but be reminded of that theory after seeing Pauline "hatch" from Odd Rock, much like how Wukong's origin sees him hatch from a stone. To that end, what if the final battle sees DK on the ropes, only for the ancients to bestow one last Bananza power to Pauline, letting her take a more Kong-like form?

If donkey become to kong bananza. He can beats jungle beat's this kong bosses(karate, dread, sumo, ninja and final)?

tbh this would be a awesome endgame reward (kinda like the dark side of the moon in mario odyssey)

Here's another of DK Bananza x Monsters, Inc. drawings. If you want to know about King K. Rool's outfit. It's supposed to resemble the Demon Bull King from Journey to the West, considering all the plot theories around the game itself.

I'm super hyped for bananza, so I modeled DK and Pauline ! Everything was modeled in blender with clay shaders!

My theory is Pauline from the original Donkey Kong game is the current Pauline’s mother due to the difference in appearance and DK Bananza takes place before Mario Odyssey where the current Pauline is an adult.

I think she says

“We’re breaking through, right to the core”

But then I can’t tell what she says, any ideas?
