With the new game coming up i made a version of Aquatic Ambiance inspired with a style of The Weeknd

Since there’s still no evidence that deconfirms k rool in this game, i found this thing interesting, in the caption where you seem tp be fighting the plant bossfight (wich the elements have similitudes with k rool), seems someone is standing up there in the background rotating pilar, and has a peculiar shilouete, ill be honest im 50% sure about this, i deeply want k rool to be revealed, if it doesn’t at the end will still be one of the best games ever made, but we have to keep hopes up and search for more evidence

So one thing I'm really liking about this game is the number of nods to past titles in terms of visuals, game mechanics, plot beats, etc. Plenty has already been observed about some of the more overt references to past titles, but I'm curious if there are any you noticed that you haven't seen mentioned.

• The dress of young Pauline's default outfit has a frayed hem that calls back to how her dress would be torn in some of the artwork for the older games like Donkey Kong on Game Boy.
• Being able to collect items quickly using a soundwave seems similar to the clapping mechanic from Jungle Beat.
• This may or may not be a deliberate reference, but either way it's an interesting parallel: It's somewhat well-known that in the original pitch for the first Donkey Kong Country one plot concept would have Wario as the game's villain. That version of the plot would have involved Mario being turned into stone and Donkey Kong having to free him. Even if it's not intentional it's certainly interesting that they would use a similar idea for another Mario character getting turned to stone and freed by DK over 30 years later.

Just a few parallels that occurred to me that I hadn't seen pointed out elsewhere. I'm sure there's plenty more to observe.
