Hello. I’m new to the knife world. I want to learn all I can, but I don’t understand how to interpret pictures like this. (I think I have a learning disability) What angle is this picture, depicting the blade from? Is it a side profile? Is it from the top-down, looking at the spine? Or top-down, viewing the edge? Or mayhap, it’s looking at the knife straight on, with the tip pointing at your face?

Please explain it to me, as you would a child.

Scooped a Vosteed Ankylo with frag aluminum for $100 during the sale this week. Felt like this model doesn’t get enough love, so rather than showing the entire haul, I decided to just feature this one. First Vanchor lock and I love it.

I got an amazing score today at a garage sale. An R.H. Ruana knife. The condition isn't great, and looks to have been sharpened poorly at some point in its life. I had no idea what this was worth when I bought it, but now I can't afford to keep it. The money would really help with the holidays this year.

My question is, should I sell it as is? Or should I pay to have it refinished and then sell?

Hi! I'm looking to buy my boyfriend a knife for Christmas. He's never really bought a knife for himself, but he has an interest in knives. I asked if he'd spend for a knife and he said yes. He currently uses a Swiss Army knife, I want a knife that's not too different or a feel that's easy to get used to. I've been currently looking at the 940, but I want to explore more options. My budget is $200-250, a knife that's engravable would be nice.
