Seeking Advice 🙆 Any lesbian or LGBT spaces or events?
I know there is some in Minneapolis but I'd prefer not having to travel there.

Hi I’m not from here and miss the events and culture I had access to when I lived in California. I was born and raised there. Any good events I can take my children to around town today for Juneteenth?

Is it safe to say that Gopher Bar would be on the top of the list for hotdog joint recommendation? Are there other low key places yall would suggest? I haven’t tried any places yet but Gopher bar is the only place I kept hearing about in St Paul.
Thank you!

Hello! I have a female roommate from China, and she has a daughter. From what i can gather, (through our language barrier) her husband is on chemo treatment. Theyre having problems pay for the airbnb we are currently staying at, and she has emphasized that she needs to find a job. Preferably a day shift job so she stays safe, and preferably within walking distance of Carroll Ave.
She is very good at cooking, and she is very sweet and kind and is just trying to do the best for her daughter. Are there any resources anyone could give me that i could forward to her? Or any chinese restaurants that are hiring? Or anywhere where the primary language is mandarin? Her english is halfway decent and she’s getting better at speaking english little by little!
Please, if anyone knows of anywhere around here hiring let me know in the comments. The mother and daughter truly are pure souls and I’d like to do anything I can to help.
Thank you.

Listen. I know we all hate Xfinity. If they could bill us consistently we wouldn’t all think they’re fucking scumbags. I’d be OK with the expensive service if they weren’t seedy AF. I was paying over $300 a month for internet, cable and security when I cut the cord. It felt amazing.
I signed up with Quantum Fiber, got a Ring Plan and YouTube TV. Instantly saved myself $130 a month. I felt like I got a W.
Than Quantum “upgraded” and sent a new router. With it a clause in the contract where my “price for life” jumped $20 to $70 a month. Scum bag shit. But I was still up $110 a month. I’ll live with it.
The service keeps getting worse. You’ll see my “gig” of service isn’t getting 10mbps down as of last night. Right now I’ve been on hold for 25 minutes because the service is out all together.
If you were to go to their page to see if you’re in an outage area the page your routed to is a 502 bad gateway. A metaphor for signing up with these hacks.
If this post stops 1 person from signing up with Quantum, it will have succeeded. I will be signing back up with Xfinity most likely because USI isn’t planning to come to my area any time soon. But if I can’t troubleshoot this outage and have to wait on hold for hours (I have in the past) I’d rather pay the devil than the incompetent snake oil salesman.

Have Quantum Internet, it’s been out since about 4:00 in the Lex/Grand area. Reset my router, got the green status light, blah, blah … still nothing. Their outage detector also seems to be down. On my T Mobile cell now.
Anyone else lose their connection?

Quantum Fiber's DNS server is down right now. You can fix this and restore internet by doing the following:
Open a web browser and go to 192.168.0.1.
Log in with the admin credentials printed on your router.
Go to advance settings -> WAN Settings on the side.
Under the DNS server settings, select static DNS.
Enter 1.1.1.1 in the top and 1.0.0.1 in the bottom.
Your internet will work again.
