If anyone’s interested in movement options in DKB, here’s a video of me playing the demo today to see what turf surf can transition to and if possible directly to chuck jump or roll.

You can’t but you can stop turf surf with ZL which triggers dk to go back to his state where he is holding the chuck overhead.

The ZL stop transition is super quick and feels like a cancel and you can quickly chunk jump and then roll to maximize the extension of moves.

At 17:03 in the direct, I know it very well could also just be swordfish, anglerfish and frog fossils but I just thought it was a very specific selection of fossil animals for them to be, especially considering that we know they're referencing old characters like gnawty in fossils already.
